Call for Volunteering at the Blackstone School Library
After eighteen months of remote learning Blackstone students are back in school! A central experience to being at school is going to the library were kids can individually and collectively explore the world of literature and increase literacy skills.
The Blackstone school library is an all volunteer effort run by the St Stephen’s Youth Program and they are hard at work getting the library up and running after the pandemic shut down. With help from Friends of Blackstone School we can make a weekly visit to the library a reality for students at the Blackstone. We are reaching out to our supporters to ask for volunteers to spend one day a week at the library engaging with students whether it be by helping a student find an interesting book or reading aloud to a class.
